Patients can improve their experience at their Orange County dermatologist’s office by having very focused visits. Pick one or two topics per visit and ask your dermatologist for a thorough answer on that topic. Many patients try to cram all of their questions in to one visit and come in with list of things to ask. From the practitioner’s perspective it becomes difficult to give a good, adequate answer to a list of topics rather than one or two topics. It’s much more helpful to the patient to get an elaborate answer for one or two focused issues (like “my acne and acne scars” for example) than short answers for 50 things (a spot on my hand, my acne, my acne scars, a wart on my foot, a mole on my back, and wrinkle treatments) all in one visit.
